what is flagrance?

Fla´gran`cy . The condition or quality of being flagrant; atrocity; heinousness; enormity; excess.

Flagrance is good! Once upon a time Barra and David decided that if we were to create our own fragrance, we would call it 'Flagrance'. The idea being that it would be flagrantly expensive and flagrantly nice smelling. Well, we don't know how to develop, manufacture, and market a fragrance, so we have made a blog instead. Deal with it!

Halo: Arms Race

I just stumbled upon this short film made by WETA (their work is featured in Lord of the Rings,Hellboy and others), it's for the new Halo Movie and I think it looks great, so far they they are achieving a good atmosphere for the movie, but thats not what drew me to it. Its the fact that one of my favourite new directors, Neill Blomkamp, is attatched to this project. Heres a 6 minute short movie that he has made called Alive in Joburg. Blomkamp was a CG animator who decided to try directing, and because he has such an extensive knowledge of CG effects, he is able to blend them into his movies without people even noticing. I'm not going to walk you though it, just watch it and enjoy.

So my expectations are high for Halo. I'm not sure what David has to say about this, he's in Canada at the moment but he must be living in some kind of early nineties timewarp where the Internet isnt so accessable.

I guess you missed that little bit at the end where it said "Halo 3"? Not for the movie, it's for the game. Hence the "Finish the Fight" bit, too. People see live-action Halo-ness and straight away jump to the conclusion of movie. Seriously, take it in a little more.

yeh i noticed that, but flagrantly disregarded it. yes its for HALO 3, but WETA with the help of Neill Blomkamp are making the short movies to prove to executives that they have the ability.
There was some trouble with making the Halo movie coz the studio couldnt decide on a director, they didnt think that Blomkamp had enough experience, and so he went off and made these Halo shorts to prove he had.....balls.
anyway, Blomkamp is now billed as the Director for the movie on IMDB.
I shoudve put more detail into my first post, So thanks for pointing that out, but I'm still not entirely wrong.
