what is flagrance?

Fla´gran`cy . The condition or quality of being flagrant; atrocity; heinousness; enormity; excess.

Flagrance is good! Once upon a time Barra and David decided that if we were to create our own fragrance, we would call it 'Flagrance'. The idea being that it would be flagrantly expensive and flagrantly nice smelling. Well, we don't know how to develop, manufacture, and market a fragrance, so we have made a blog instead. Deal with it!

Good song or my dong?

After shamelessly watching the Eurovision at the weekend, this was the song I would've voted for. It sounds pretty good to me, especially for a Eurovision song, but I can't help but fear my judgement is being clouded by my attraction to the singer. What do you think?

Yeh the eurovision is shit but I like the idea of all the european countries being able to show something about themselves in a popular event.

its the only non-sporting, non-political contact we have with the rest of europe really. I've no better suggestions, so I think it should be kept.

But I'd like a rule where you have to sing in your native language, no backing tracks, bring back the jury voting.

of course, i dont mean to say that the eurovision these days gives a good example of the countries cultures. not at all. but i'd like if it became like that.

well ye, the reason its bad is because its gotten to the point where its not considered a legitimate music competition and the only people who watch it are people who have no clue about music, and as a result the people who enter make their songs aimed at these people (ie people who dont know what a good song is in the first place) and a vicious cycle of shitness ensues.

maybe if the organisers could somehow get its credibility back up and get actual songwriters to enter good songs and judge them on the basis of quality.

the other idea I had was to make it an anonymous competition, and only reveal the nationalities of the countries after the votes are counted, so as to eliminate block voting. prob wouldnt work tho cos countries will want to sing in their own languages etc.
