what is flagrance?

Fla´gran`cy . The condition or quality of being flagrant; atrocity; heinousness; enormity; excess.

Flagrance is good! Once upon a time Barra and David decided that if we were to create our own fragrance, we would call it 'Flagrance'. The idea being that it would be flagrantly expensive and flagrantly nice smelling. Well, we don't know how to develop, manufacture, and market a fragrance, so we have made a blog instead. Deal with it!

You talkin' bout kooba?

This is just a post to let you guys know that I'll be gone for the next few days. This weekend while you are on Grafton Street, having glass bottles lobbed at your head by some poverty-stricken cetlic-jersey-wearing yobbo, I will be sippin' mojitos on the beach with my Cuban comrades (flagrancy!). Unfortunately for me, this means I will have to spend literally all of Friday either in a plane or an airport.
As if that wasn't bad enough, these lovable commies are already trying to hustle us so we will more than likely be looking for a new hotel as soon as we arrive in Cuba. You would think we could do this before we leave, but the Cuban tourist industry has yet to fully embrace the internet.

Luckily, I will be able to cleanse my mind of any nasty socialist ideologies that I pick up, because on my way home I will get to spend some time in one of the great bastions of capitalism, O Canada.

I'm gone from Friday 16th to Tuesday 27th. Barrie will hopefully keep on bloggin', and I'll let you know how I get on.

I spent two weeks in Cuba this xmas. its absolutely amazing i'm sure you'll love it. it's mad like, Havana is a bizarre place, it can be simultaneously the happiest and most depressing place on the planet. they're extremely poor and they're not afraid to try make u feel guilty about it either. who are you going with? cos from my experience ive decided that the next time i go there i'm not going with any women, my sister and mother both hated it

Hey jamie. thats cool i forgot that you were there. to be honest i'm not really sure what to expect from the place. i'm hoping it will have enough about it to keep us interested for the 10 days we're there. i'm going with my dad and my sister. i guess i'll have to check out how they treat women, i did read that they are quite macho and forward. at the moment we're getting extremely ripped on our hotel so we'll be needing to sort that out. thanks for the post, if you've got any tips on things to do, i'd love to hear them.

well i'd recommend getting a tour guide guy, we got one for just half of one of the days (despite my dads initial reluctance cos he thought tour guides were only for stupid american tourists u know the way) but it was really good cos theres way too much stuff to see on your own. having said that i was only in havana for 4 days before heading down the coast so i suppose if ur staying there for 10 days then u would have more time to find everything for urself. but u have to go see revolution square, make that a priority, its really cool. also the old town is really nice down near the harbour, loads of really nice restaurants and stuff.

also literally everywhere u go u will see musicians which is class, and they always play Beuna Vista Social Club songs, just for us stupid white tourists, haha.

lastly, drink as many mojitos as you can, cos ever since i got back to ireland after xmas ive been suffering withdrawal from them, theyre so damn good!
